With past experience in program management, Calvin brings a strong leadership presence and a deep level of knowledge to the position. What were you doing before you joined the Literacy Lab team?
Before joining the Literacy Lab, I was the Program Manager of Adult Education for National Able Network, a large nonprofit and workforce development agency in Chicago.
What influenced you to apply for your position at The Literacy Lab?
I felt strongly about the mission of the organization, in addition to the fact that the core values of the organization aligned with my professional core values.
What is one of your personal core values?
Integrity.
What are you most looking forward to in your new position fat The Literacy Lab?
I am most excited to see the relationships the young men build with their students.

“The Color of Law” by Richard Rothstein.
