What were you doing before you joined the Literacy Lab team?
I was serving as a K-3 Literacy Lab tutor at a local elementary school in Richmond!
What influenced you to apply for your position at The Literacy Lab?
The impact I saw on my students. The model and approach the Literacy Lab uses to address one of our society’s most pressing needs and the success I witnessed in my students’ growth made me want to be a part of the expanding Literacy Lab team.
What is one of your personal core values?
Relationships. Building great relationships with our students, our partners, our teams, etc., is the best way to achieve real, sustainable results.
What are you most looking forward to in your new position at The Literacy Lab?
I’m looking forward to working with a team of supportive, innovative, and highly-motivated individuals, and seeing how our work translates into high levels of both personal and academic growth for our students.
What’s your children’s favorite book?
I love the “Calvin & Hobbes” book series compiled from the comics.
